Going gray....and much MORE

A year ago (a month before my 50th birthday) I decided to buzz my hair down to my gray roots.  The decision was two fold in that I was tired of coloring it every 4 weeks and I felt it was a way for me to symbolically shed off the old and go into this new stage of my life.  Little did I know how much this decision was going to be much more than that! This last year has been quite a roller coaster ride and not so much about my gray hair journey, rather more about a health issue.   As it turns out,  this decision made it easier for me - not having to worry about salon appointments to color my hair as my energy was next to nothing most days (still is).  The fact that it was super short also allowed even more ease with getting ready on those days I had a bit more life in me.   The number of people who stopped me (out in public) to compliment me on my hair made those hard days even brighter...... I was told how brave I was - little did they know what I was going through and how much I needed
