First Day

In August I started a new job, actually a whole new career move!  I left the banking and financial industry and started working for an agency that supports the Deaf and the hard of hearing (a perfect fit for me being hard of hearing).  It was scary at first, but now I can't imagine myself doing anything else.

Here I am on my first day of work

I work with a great bunch of people!

  1. That is a good place for you to work. A true ambassador for the hearing impaired. I have been a customer of a similar place here in Clearwater that is associated with the Florida Relay Service. I started with a free volume enhanced phone and went to a series of captioned phones. I currently use a Captel phone that is connected for captioning to the internet via my router. It works very well. Very little lag time so I can usually get through the dratted menu systems at doctors, etc.

  2. Congratulations! A new career in a field where you are deeply invested sounds like a good fit. Had to be difficult deciding to leave banking behind but onward and upward!!
