Crafty, Me?
I took a few opportunities this past year to try my hand at crafting. I'm pretty good when it comes to following along, but not so good at pulling things out of nowhere, so these were great opportunities for me to feel artsy because they were 'guided' art projects - I didn't have to think, which I find very relaxing.
Had so much fun making this shabby chic flag! It comes in a kit, but you don't have to tell anyone - they can think you really are crafty! I have it hanging in my office at work.
I hosted a sign party. Here is one of two wood signs that I made and have them hanging next to my travel magnet boards (I collect magnets on my travels) - You can see the boards behind me.
I do like to cook, that's kinda crafty, right? Here I am making pupusas with my mom's friend Loli, she's from El Salvador - I mean, you have to shape those things just right!
Here's to more crafting in 2018!

You are one crafty lady!

I wish I were more crafty, but my mother was a master at it. My crafts usually are kind of sloppy and often never finished.
ReplyDeleteI love making anything and yes I think cooking qualifies as Crafting! But what is a Papusa? I know I am probably spelling it wrong😁

This is El Salvador's most cherished food - a thick corn tortilla stuffed with a savory filling!
DeleteI love to craft although haven't done much lately. I mostly enjoy paper crafts but will try just about anything craft related other than painting. I don't think painting is for me either. Weekends In Maine
ReplyDeleteThat painting looks great! Do not sell yourself short. I took painting classes this year, too. I painted something MUCH smaller - it was the front of a greeting card. Love your sign, too. It goes so well with your magnets.
